Computational Fluid Dynamics Research Overview
My research focus on computational fluid dynamics has been on the computation of incompressible
fluid flows in two and three dimensions. I've been concerned with both the development of particle based methods
(Vortex Methods for Incompressible Flow)
as well as finite difference methods (Finite Difference Methods
for Incompressible Flow). Recently, I've been involved in a project where a vortex method
is used to provide solutions with modest accuracy at a rather low computational cost (and hence suitable for such
purposes as designing fluid flow control procedures). Also, associated with this work is the creation of finite
difference schemes to provide accurate solutions that are used as benchmarks.
