Hi Everyone,

Hope you're having fun and learning a lot at the information and recruiting sessions! I think midterms are about to start again. That, plus the fact that actuarial exams are right around the quarter, promises to make the next few weeks super busy! Best of luck with all those things! Feel free though to contact me if you have any questions.

Best,
William Lin

This will be a great opportunity for you to meet associates from the firm and to get answers

Resume Book, October 29

Last year we put together a club resume book for students looking for full time employment and for internships. We sent these booklets to companies in Consulting, Property & Casualty, and Health Insurance.

We will be doing the same thing again. Please try to work on your resumes. We will need them by October 29th.

We will probably set up a means to drop your resumes in the Undergraduate Math Office, but I have yet to verify this with Nicole, and will have more directions in next week's newsletter or at the Watson Wyatt Information Session. Essentially we will need about 20 copies of your resume (You may include cover letters for each resume if you would like) so that we can make the booklets-final version and all. Sorry for the delay in getting this information to you!

Our actual drop dates will be included in the next newsletter too.

Study Sessions

A group of people have expressed interest in studying together for the actuarial exams coming up in November. If you've regsistered to take the exam, and am interested in studying with other people BUT HAVE NOT emailed me yet, please do so. Email me at linw@ucla.edu with the following pieces of information:

a) Which exam you're taking
b) What days/times you're free
c) How confident you are about passing the exam (Not Really, So-so, Very)

The sooner you do so, the sooner I'll be able to place you into a study group!
