UCLA Math alumni bring one of the largest crowds to Career Week

Four UCLA Math alumni gave a TED style talk at the Career Week event put on by the Career Resource Center and the UCLA Math department on Thursday, April 12th. The presenters included (pictured left to right) Brittany Webb, Health & Benefits Actuarial Sr. Associate,  Danielle Cosgrove, Sr. Risk Manager, Duncan Hernandez, Business Intelligence Engineer II, and Dr. Ryan Rosario, a machine learning engineer and UCLA lecturer of Computer Science.

The purpose of the event was for students to have the opportunity to learn about trending careers in mathematics and related fields. Alumni shared their professional journeys and discussed how a math degree helped to build the trajectory of their careers. Similar to last year, the Math Career Week event was one of the largest on south campus, attracting over 120 undergraduate and graduate students.
