Professor Stan Osher elected into the National Academy of Engineering

On February 7th, 2018 Professor Stanley J. Osher was elected into the National Academy of Engineering (NAE) for his "contributions to imaging, computer vision, and graphics including level-set methods and efficient compressed sensing." Election to the NAE is among the highest professional distinctions accorded to an engineer. Less than 2,300 U.S. members are part of the academy. 

Newly elected individuals will be formally inducted during a ceremony at the NAE's annual meeting in Washington, D.C., on September 30, 2018.
