The MCPT Program
The UCLA Math Content Program for Teachers
offers a cohesive collection of courses for those who wish to
teach middle school mathematics. The approved “Supplementary
Authorization Program for the Teaching of Mathematics Through
Grade 9” contains eight courses (32-quarter units). The
48-quarter unit program, which is considered “coursework
equivalent to a major” meets the requirements for the Subject
Matter Authorization and is NCLB compliant.
