UCLA Mathematics Computing Group Home Page

The Mathematics Computing Group is responsible to support the department's Information Technology needs. These pages give tutorials in using our system, and guidance on departmental policies. If you need to contact the MCG:

• Use our web form
• Send e-mail to bugs@math.ucla.edu (you can use the link). See our guidelines for good bug reports.
• Call by phone: 310 206 5359 (just 65359 from on campus). Phone consulting is available during business hours on days when the MCCO is open, but if the Bugs Manager is working on a machine outside the office, you will need to leave a message.
• The Mathematics Computing Consulting Office (MCCO, colloquially known as the Bugs Office) is in room MS 6121. It is open 10:00 to 12:00 and 14:00 to 16:00, Monday through Friday, when classes are in session (except summer). Between quarters and during summer, it is open in the morning only. Closed weekends and holidays.
• We try to give some kind of answer within 24 hours, and usually quicker. But mail occasionally goes astray, e.g. HTML-formatted mail from some mail services may be automatically classified as spam. If you haven't heard from us in 24 hours, please resubmit your query.
