The midterm will cover sections 1.1-2.3 (excluding 1.7), i.e.
the Week 1-4 notes. Also, we will not cover incidence
matrices (since those do not appear in lecture notes).
The material on Gaussian elimination and Lagrange interpolation
is tangentially relevant to the midterm, but is not absolutely
necessary. (More detail on the midterm is in the week 5 notes, see
URL below).
There may be a review session on Wednesday, depending on whether
I can cover everything which is in the syllabus for Week 5 by
then.
