Well, it seems that I didn't make the midterm particularly challenging. The average score was very high - 75%, in fact,
with a standard deviation of 25%. There was one perfect score, and
15 other people scored above 90%. Well done to everyone.
My original intention was for Q5 to involve more than three mindless applications of Taylor's formula, but it turned out - somewhat unfortunately - that this was the most efficient way to attack this problem.
The final will probably be a bit more challenging than this mid-term - the practice mid-term is probably a better indication of the level of difficulty.
