- IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR EXAM I:
If your last name falls between A to Jing, then you are to take your
exam in FRANZ 1260 (just a little north of Young hall, here's a map). If you
name does not fall in this range then you are to take your exam in the
same room as lecture, WGYOUNG CS24.
- Study suggestions for Exam I:
- If you haven't done so already, read each section of chapters 1, 2,
and 3, this is what will be covered on the exam. Take special care on
tunderstanding the major definitions and theorems, especially the ones
we reviewed carefully in class. Lastly, it is very important to
understand the summaries of equivalences, for example
3.3.10 on pg 133.
- I have bolded specific problems
in
the homework section and suggested a few more which I find to be most
important in your study for this midterm. These problems should
help you focus on concepts which I think are important and should be
considered a good study guide.
- Suggested use of the additional problems: Copy six
problems, each from a different
section, and try to do them in about 45 minutes without looking for
help in the book or any specific instructions given on the problem, for
example, "use rref to solve...." If you can
perform this test with minimal mistakes 2 or 3 times, with different
sets of problems, you are very close to ready. **Do not forget to time
yourself**

- IMPORTAN INFORMATION FOR EXAM II:
If your last name falls between A to Jing, then you are to take your
exam in Bunche 1209B (very
much in north campus, here's a map). Notice
this is a different room from the first exam. If you
name does not fall in this range then you are to take your exam in the
same room as lecture, WGYOUNG CS24.
- Study suggestions for Exam II:
- Mostly the same as exam one but the exam covers chapters 4, 5,
6. Nothing directly will be asked from chapters 1,2,3 but this
knowledge, as required, will be assumed. Additional suggested and
bolded problems can be found on the homework page. Good luck!

will be on Friday Nov. 19 from 1pm -2:30pm.

- IMPORTAN INFORMATION FOR FINAL
EXAM: If your last name falls between A to Jing, then you are
to take your
exam in Boelter 3400 (close to
WGYoung, here's a map).
If you
name does not fall in this range then you are to take your exam in the
same room as lecture, WGYOUNG CS24.
The final is on Tuesday, December 07, 2010 from 11:30 AM - 2:30 PM.
- Don't forget to bring a valid student ID to the final exam.
- Extra office hours will be on Monday December 06 from 2pm-3:30pm.
