Exams: Note: No makeups are allowed for the midterms and for the final examinations. In order to pass the class you must take the final exam. No calculators, books, or notes will be permitted.

Grading: The final grade will be based on the best of the following schemes:

Final Exam 45%, Each Midterm 20%, Homework: 15%

or

Final Exam 65%, The best Midterm 20 %, Homework: 15%


Homework problems:

Homework will be collected at the beginning of the Thursday Discussion Section, beginning October 8, ending December 3 and excluding November 26. Late homework will not be accepted. Label each homework clearly with your name and class (Math 132, Lecture 3). You may work together on the homework, but you must write up your solutions by yourself.
